Evidence behind each pillar

GTM Debt, pillars 05 to 13 Pillar 05 is the earliest unfinished one, and the company is already working on pillar 13. That distance is GTM Debt. It is what blocks revenue growth, and most of the cost of it lands late: a sales team hired six months early, a round raised against a revenue engine nobody checked, revenue that flattens after the first handful of customers.

Who reads it

Benchmarking is the smallest use of it.

01The founder How the outside world reads the company's GTM maturity, and the debt it carries. The reading names the earliest unfinished pillar, not the worst one: usually what sits between the company and its next milestone.

02The investor Angel through to PE. A sanity check before a cheque, and a way to compare a pipeline or a portfolio on the same scale, by stage, industry, ARR band, or co-investor.

03The operator Fractionals and consultants. A company's GTM maturity before the first conversation, a trajectory that says more than the number, and a starting point to scope the first engagement from.

04The candidate Sales leaders and account executives. A read on how mature the go-to-market really is before taking the job: whether there is a repeatable motion to join, or one to build.
